The Fshbwl

about the fshbwl

Here at the fshbwl (pronounced "fishbowl"), we use three words to describe who we are and what we do ... ask, discover, and live. Here's a bit on what's behind each word.

Ask - We all have questions and we're all trying to figure out life in this crazy world that we live in. It seems logical to us that, rather than each of us trying to figure things out on our own, that we'd be much better off asking one another, finding out who else is asking the same questions, and seeking out answers together.

Discover - While it's true that we all have questions, it's equally true that there are answers waiting to be discovered. Sometimes we can find them by talking with others who have, "been there before". This is part of the advantage of asking in the midst of a community. We can bring together our collective experiences, compare the places we've been, and learn from one another. However, there are some questions that are simply beyond human comprehension and force us, on our own, to only speculate answers. For those of us behind the fshbwl, this is where we turn to God's revelation, the Bible.

Live - Since so many of our questions deal with figuring out life, it only seems right that, as we find our answers together, that we would take the next step and continue life in this community that we've formed. In it, we can ask more questions, discover more answer, and enjoy life together in this crazy world that we live in.
